Limited Engagement 10 City National Tour Featuring New York Times Bestseller Author Eric Metaxas.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”  — DIETRICH BONHOEFFER

Join Eric as he shares the story of how Bonhoeffer gives witness to one man’s extraordinary faith and to the tortured fate of the nation he sought to deliver from the curse of Nazism. It brings the reader face to face with a man determined to do the will of God radically, courageously, and joyfully—even to the point of death. Bonhoeffer is the story of a life framed by a passion for truth and a commitment to justice on behalf of those who face implacable evil.

These evenings with Eric Metaxas are available on a first come basis between February 16 and March 9, 2013.

I’m confused. Is the picture of the President who fights for abortion with a passion holding this book supposed to be an endorsement for your event? Or is it just a visual example of “the face of evil”?

Agree with Robert, since abortion is the U.S. holocaust (see 180movie.com). Evil is evil and America does not value human life.

  3. Briam (October 2, 2012)

Eric handed him a copy at the National Prayer Breakfast and Obama held it up. Don’t read too much into it.

I’m interested in hearing Eric Metaxas speak. Are there any cities booked so far?

  5. Caera (October 5, 2012)

My church is too small, and we’re not even in our building yet. We’re meeting in a strip mall. But maybe Cornerstone? I’ve sent them a suggestion. Either way, please come to San Antonio! I couldn’t make it to Dallas in the middle of the week the other day.

We would love to be a part of this! Great book and a favoritaround campus!

  7. James Rankin (October 5, 2012)

I concur with Caera — please come to San Antonio. I’ve been spreading the word about “Bonhoeffer” to everyone I can. I’d ove to hear you speak on the subject, and I’m sure I’m not alone.

Would love to hear you, but all the churches around here are definitely too small. Perhaps you would consider UNK in Kearney Ne

I realize my first comment was not loving and I sincerely apologize for that. Obama is not the enemy, nor is any human for that matter. I understand the context of the picture now having watched the prayer breakfast Metaxas spoke at; though it’s still a little confusing why the picture is used here in the seeming context of an endorsement. (i.e. seeing Obama holding the book ended up having the opposite effect on me) Metaxas, however, is a hero. A modern day Bonhoeffer. I would be excited to hear him speak anyday.

Please do not assume that all born again believers feel as you do about the President. I have yet to see a sitting President NOT villified by the other side and make him appear evil.
Will be looking for the book and the speaker.
