Song of Solomon Live

Tommy Nelson: Song of Solomon LIVE Online Study

For the first time in over 8 years Tommy Nelson will be teaching live The Song of Solomon! This will take place every Tuesday night in February, live from 7:00 – 8:00 PM CST with tape delay for PST.

This is 4, one-hour small group/home group teaching sessions. So, take a break from your normal small group curriculum and let Tommy Nelson teach you, your group, or even plan an event at your church.

Each week The Hub will supply you a PDF of that week’s lesson for you to print or email to your group. We will receive questions each night on Twitter with #sostommylive. The final 10 – 15 minutes Tommy will answer your questions.
If Tuesday night is not a good night for you, your group, or church, as of 3:00 PM CST each Wednesday, the previous night’s lesson will be available to stream any time that is convenient for you!

This is sure to be life-changing and a memorable 4 weeks of Live TV. So, make your plans, spread the word, and Tommy looks forward to seeing you in February!

Spread the word to all of your Song of Solomon and Tommy Nelson friends and be sure and get your own party together every Tuesday night in February!

Simulcast Information

Purchase of the Live webcast will automatically include the On Demand access. The video will be sent to you the Wednesday following the Tuesday session. All four videos accumulated over the 4-week period will be available to you for 6 weeks after the last session.
A simulcast is a worldwide Internet broadcast of either a live event or a prerecorded event. In this case, Tommy Nelson’s Live Home Study of The Song of Solomon will be recorded and streamed live to your living room so you can participate in real time as he teaches!
  1. Purchase the preferred license for the event depending on if you are viewing as an individual, small group, or church.
  2. Set up your viewing device: computer, laptop, projector and sound system, iPad or phone.
  3. Make sure you have a strong Internet connection. Hard wired connections are preferred to wireless connections.
  4. Follow the link provided in your confirmation email to view.

A strong Internet connection. Because the Simulcast will be live streaming over the Internet, you will need an uninterrupted connection. We have found that a wired connection is more reliable than a wireless connection.
For the Live Simulcast we provide three streams:

  • High = 1,000 kbps
  • Medium = 650 kbps
  • Low = 350 kbps

Recommended speed is going to be a download speed of 3 mbps (consistently). Please note, a wireless connection is usable but if for any reason the signal drops out the stream will appear to buffer until a good enough signal is regained.

If you are streaming on an iDevice but would like it to be on your TV, one option can be found at our blog.
If you would like to show this to a larger audience, make sure to have the computer hooked up to your large screen projection device and speakers.

24 hours before the event takes place you will receive the link for the Simulcast. This will allow time for set up before the event.
15 minutes before the event starts, the live stream will begin. You can use this time to adjust audio and video if needed.
Want to share this event with your small group or home Bible study group? Gather them up and purchase this license, good for a group smaller than a church!

  1. First, be sure to test your equipment for large screen projection and audio, as well as your Internet connection.
  2. If you do not want to charge for your event, you can simply invite who you like and allow them free admission.
  3. If you do want to charge for your event, we would like to recommend the #1 ticketing agency, iTickets. We have been partners with iTickets for years and trust their abilities to take care of registration, ticket purchases, discount codes, and whatever else you may need for your event.
  4. LOCAL EVENT TICKET SALES / REGISTRATION RESOURCE:
If you are planning to have people register and/or purchase tickets for your local simulcast (a great way to cover the costs of your event and add value), we have found it important to offer an option to purchase tickets online and by phone. iTickets (iTickets Website) has been a reliable and worthwhile Christian resource for this effort. Please contact iTickets at 1-800-521-0290 to arrange ticketing for your event. This arrangement is strictly between you and iTickets.
  5. Please note: If you decide to charge admission for your showing of the Real Marriage simulcast, all profits go directly to your church. The Hub will not require any fees.
