Simulcast Information

A simulcast is a worldwide Internet broadcast of either a live event or a prerecorded event. In this case, Kyle Idleman’s book release event taking place live in Louisville, Kentucky will be recorded and streamed live to your living room so you can participate in real time as he teaches!

  1. Purchase the preferred license for the event depending on if you are viewing as an individual, small group, or church.
  2. Set up your viewing device: computer, laptop, projector and sound system, iPad or phone.
  3. Make sure you have a strong Internet connection. Hard wired connections are preferred to wireless connections.
  4. Follow the link provided in your confirmation email to view.

A strong Internet connection. Because the Simulcast will be live streaming over the Internet, you will need an uninterrupted connection. We have found that a wired connection is more reliable than a wireless connection.
For the Live Simulcast we provide three streams:

  • High = 1,000 kbps
  • Medium = 650 kbps
  • Low = 350 kbps

Recommended speed is going to be a download speed of 3 mbps (consistently). Please note, a wireless connection is usable but if for any reason the signal drops out the stream will appear to buffer until a good enough signal is regained.

If you are streaming on an iDevice but would like it to be on your TV, one option can be found at our blog.
If you would like to show this to a larger audience, make sure to have the computer hooked up to your large screen projection device and speakers.

24 hours before the event takes place you will receive the link for the Simulcast. This will allow time for set up before the event.
15 minutes before the event starts, the live stream will begin. You can use this time to adjust audio and video if needed.

Featuring

Kyle Idleman:

kyle_idleman 12small2Kyle Idleman, bestselling author of not a fan., will be the first person to tell you that any success he has had, or any good he has done, has been because of Christ alone. As he likes to say, “Any good God does is not because of me, but in spite of me.” It may have started as a message, but not a fan. has sparked a movement all over the world. More than a half a million books have been sold and more than 10,000 churches have used the video curriculum.

Kyle is also the author and presenter of several projects that City on a Hill Productions has produced. Those projects include H20: A Journey of Faith, The Easter Experience, and The Christmas Experience. Kyle, who continues on his journey from fan to follower, graduated from Ozark Christian College. After planting a church in Los Angeles county, Kyle moved to Louisville, KY to be the teaching pastor at Southeast Christian Church, one of the largest churches in the country with nearly 21,000 in attendance every weekend.

But Kyle would say that his job description is simply to “be the branch” because Jesus is the Vine, and apart from Him – we can do nothing.

Matt Bayless:

Matt Bayless is a worship leader and songwriter who serves at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. In addition to pastoring at his local church, he leads many conferences, retreats and events across the country for both adults and students. Passionate about prayer and worship, Matt believes the most effective way to lead worship starts with simply listening to the Holy Spirit. Partnering with God is a humbling journey he leans into on and off the stage.

Alan Robertson:

RNS-DUCK-DYNASTYAlan Robertson is the oldest son of The Duck Commander. He grew up hunting and fishing and helped build the foundation of the family business in the ’70s and ’80s. Back in the day, he and Phil would travel around Louisiana and Arkansas selling duck calls to stores right out of their truck. The sales pitch back then was the same as it is today: “These calls are the best ’cause they sound just like a duck!”

Recently, Alan has returned to the family business after serving in full-time ministry for more than 25 years. Alan plays a vital role in the family’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors. The only Robertson without a beard, he calls himself a “Jacob” in a family of “Esaus.”

Alan and his wife, Lisa, are parents of two grown daughters who are married to bearded men. Alan and Lisa are proud grandparents to two granddaughters and a grandson on the way. They all live in West Monroe, Louisiana. (bio from duckcommander.com)
