We live in Southlake, TX but have a 24 year old son in LA, Ca. in Film School studying to be a writer/producer. He has had some amazing job opportunities with people in LA, most all are Jewish and he feels like the lone Christian. He goes to Reality LA church and loves it. He told us that he had registered for the conference. We were thrilled. (We lead a couples Bible Study / Relationship class in our home every week and did Tommy Nelson's Song of Solomon last year - Wonderful!) We were so excited when our son called at the end of the conference to tell us how AMAZING it was and how much he learned. One of the biggest things he walked away with was, the story about the preacher whose wife left him and took the kids....and our son said, "I don't feel so alone in Hollywood! There are more people like me than I thought!" Thank you Reality LA and Mark Driscoll for your heart for Jesus and for his people. As a mom and dad....of young adults we pray, pray, pray and try to live our lives in authentic, transparent ways but....sometimes the TRUTH needs to come from a "cool" new source. He heard you Mark and we are forever grateful for you. You are being prayed for....constantly!
